Midweek munchies

The last couple of days I've made a lentil loaf which is in the freezer (lentils, leftover grilled veggies, sunflower seeds, homemade breadcrumbs, flaxmeal, lipton onion soup mix, tiny bit of salsa), Mac and Cheez out of my Cashew, Chickpea Sandwich spread (mock tunaish).. and some amazing sushi.. OMG.. the sushi! I haven't taken a pic, but will the next time I make it which will probably be today. I took the chickpea spread (I think I must of read a blog somewhere with this idea, but I can't rememer who it was), avocado, brown rice with freshly grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, a pinch of stevia, Siracha, and tons of Wasabi), grated carrots, chives and sliced cucumber. I made the dipping sauce out of soy sauce , a couple drops sesame oil and water.. and spread even more wasabi on each piece. It was sooo good. I ate two rolls for dinner last night. My husband and oldest son loved them too.. (my younger son is a bit picky, so he won't usually try some of my food.. he had cereal for dinner)

  1. 7 pounds of cherries? That must have cost a small fortune! :)

Sorry about the problems with the logging in...Tara had the same problem...not sure what is going on. I have looked into it and keep coming up blank.

I will continue to try...would you be willing to sign up again under a like can PM me and I can adjust your number of posts to match your old name...what do you think? Let me see if I can change another setting...

  2. Oh! Almost made that grocery goal! Yesterday's breakfast looks pretty good. Flaming sushi rolls....tons of wasabi!

I notice your gallon of soymilk. If your family are big soymilk drinkers. I make soymilk at about 23 cents per 6 cups. I have 2 machines to I get a little less than one gallon for less than 50 cents in about 20 minutes (cleanup time included).

I still haven't learned how to enjoy avacado yet.

  3. holy toLEDO! that's alotta food! 4 pack avocado. ever read that funny craigslist story about the fact that you ahve to buy 4 avocados from TJ's? it's hilarious!!!

soymilk. ick. i hate it. i drink it but i'm not happy about it. coruse i was a gallon a week milk drinker too...that hurt to give that up. but probably not as much as it hurt the beings that had to give it to me...

  4. I was gonna say, you feeding an entire army over there? I saw that craigslist rant about TJ’s, it was pretty funny. I get all my avocados at the farmers market anyway. I love cherries so much I could probably polish off 7 lbs before they went bad.

  5. mmm..your sushi sounds amazing.

  6. thanks for the peek into your shopping cart.
