I love soup and now that the weather is cool, I will be making a lot more of it. It's been cool and rainy all day, the perfect soup weather. I had some leftover pizza dough in the freezer, so I threw that in the toaster oven with fresh rosemary and sea salt and garlic for a quick and crispy focaccia. The soup was made with a bit of olive oil, fresh sage, rosemary, thyme, garlic, red pepper flakes, fennel seed, onions, carrots, potatoes, a bit of marinara, tofu, tvp, red chard and finished with a tiny bit of miso, freshly grated nutmeg and nutritional yeast stirred in at the last minute. I used water and a bit of Marmite as the broth.
My interview went well, I think. It's hard to tell. I really liked the man and respect his business practices. I'm sure I'd enjoy working there. His wife does the baking and she's very talented. I admire anyone who can do pastry work and cake decorating..
If I'm meant to work there, I will get the job.. (and I sure hope I'm meant to work there!)
I've been reading all of your blogs, but not doing much commenting because it is so irritating to constantly have to log on and off and back in. I hope blogger fixes this.
