First, Coconut Curry Sweet Potato Soup and homemade Rye Bread
sorry for the blur.. batteries were dying again. My camera is very fussy. Why can't I upload pics here? I am getting really annoyed. I can only post them in HTML.
Andrew wanted Salad, Garlic Bread, Baked Ziti and Cheesecake for his bday dinner. I made both vegan and non vegan baked ziti and a total non vegan cheesecake, which I did not take a pic of. I also made the BEST EVER CARROT CAKE.. vegan of course, from VwaV.. only I used walnuts instead of macadamia nuts due to the insane price. These vegan desserts are soo good! I've always hated cake because of the eggs. I could taste them in everything. Same with cookies. It's a good thing I don't have a sweet tooth.
Salad and vegan garlic bread (from scratch)
The best ever carrot cake, with a lemon nutmeg glaze
The whole spread.. the vegan baked is on the left. It's hard to tell the difference from looks alone. The next time, I will try to pass it off... I have tons leftover for the freezer! I'll let you know it if passes the test when I serve it again.
The Bday boy.. this was the best shot I could get of him, due to his wanting to goof off. Happy 15th bday Andrew! Excuse my tacky panel in the backround. I really need to paint my kitchen. Can you paint over panel? Who in their right mind would put panel in a kitchen???
you are kidding me with that cake? You went out and bought it from a professional bakery? If not, you need to start you own professional bakery, because it is absolutley gorgeous. I can only imagine how fabulous it tasted!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a great cook. I can't believe the sheer amount of delicious treats for the b-day boy. He's one lucky kid. As a matter of fact, your whole family is very lucky.
ReplyDeleteAs for the pics, I use flickr to upload my pics. Then, you can copy the picture's url into the html part of your post on blogger. I've never had any problems with doing it this way. I did have some confusion figuring out how to do it at first so if you decide you really want to use flickr, let me know and I'll email you the quick and easy version of how to use it. my email address is vivaciousvegan at gmail dot com.
