Curried Sweet Potato Soup with Red Lentils and Brown Rice
This recipe is based on a recipe I tested for Catherine.
It was wonderful... as was the original recipe.
I did not get the job.... and I'm not one to go on and on, but man... I feel that the reason I was not hired was because I am overweight. This is not the first time I've been rejected from a job... I have applied to many jobs within my skill level over the past several years. I'm pretty much sick of it. In fact, I'm way more than sick of it.
ohhh sweetie.. sorry you are feeling down right now.. but, the RIGHT job will come around..keep that chin up! you are an amazing cook!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the job. I agree with alaska... don't give up and keep looking. Job searching is no fun and unfortunately there is usually one job per 100 qualified applicants!
ReplyDeleteMel, it's too bad things didn't work out with this job. I know you liked the owners and thought it would be a good place to work but damn it - if they're not going to hire someone as talented as you over something so trivial and meaningless - they're not as good of people as you originally thought and you probably wouldn't have been happy there anyway. Keep your chin up, dear friend. The right job will come along.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your pic of the soup is really fabulous. Looks professional!
ReplyDeleteThat soup [and photo] is amazing!
ReplyDeleteRegarding the job, it's their loss. I believe everything happens for a good reason--you just don't know the reson yet. But you will. (((Hugs)))
Sorry about the job. I feel so bad for you. Hopefully something even better will come up. Your soup looks delicious though.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you didn't get the job. I agree with everyone else - the right job will come around.
ReplyDeleteAwwe, man. They're really missing out - you'll get hired by someone soon!
ReplyDeleteThe soup looks absolutely delicious.
Cherie
looks great! Sorry to hear about the job.
ReplyDeletesorry, mel. my philosophy about such things is well stated with urban - there is something better right around the corner. don't let it get you down -- rather, let it motivate you. somebody in idaho is cheering for you!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete*HUGS* to Melody. I'm sorry to hear about the job situation but something better WILL come for you and you for IT when the time is RIGHT. And in this case when the PLACE is right for YOU.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for the place that could have had you. It's so much their loss, and they are clueless to not know it. Too bad for them.
Stay strong and keep on being true to who you are, Melody!
*HUGS*
I'm so sorry you didn't get the job! I'm with everyone else here though... things happen for a reason, and if that's the reason, you don't need to be around people with such negative energy.
ReplyDeleteBTW... that soup looks divine!!!
BOOO to the job interview. BOO that's all i have to say about that
ReplyDeleteI love this soup!
