WholeSoy & Co. Plain and Keylime Yogurt

A while back, I received a package full of yogurty goodness from WholeSoy & Co.  For those of you who have followed my blog for a while, you will remember I created recipes for their site.

I was given both Key Lime and Plain, Unsweetened flavors to review and I have to say, I love them both!
The Keylime was tart and struck a perfect balance between sweet and lip smacking goodness. Enjoyed both on it's own or as a topping on your favorite baked good, you can't go wrong with this lip puckering goodness!

The plain, unsweetened yogurt I used in so many recipes. Sweetened with a bit of stevia and chia seeds, it mixed in with oatmeal perfectly for a delicious breakfast!

I also used it in a delicious, creamy salad dressing!

Creamy Italian Goat Cheese Dressing
  • 1/2 c Wholesoy Plain Yogurt
  • 1/2 c Lowfat Vegan Mayo Alternative
  • 1/2 c Goaty Cashew Cheese
  • 1 T red onion, diced
  • 2 Cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 2 T dijon mustard
  • 1 T Braggs
  • 1 T nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 t Italian Seasoning
Mix everything together and let sit for an hour before serving.

Here are links to a couple recipes using plain soy yogurt!

Sweet and Savory Cranberry Chutney Crostata (the crust is so flaky and out of this world, the yogurt really makes the tender texutre!)
Chocolate Mint Cupcakes (The yogurt really makes the frosting/glaze here!)
Red Pepper Soup
Scallion Flatbread

  1. you arent gonna believe this because its kinda weird...but i was JUST thinking about how you were featured on their website! did you know that i went and tried a fruit flavored kind because of your review:) lol.

a salad dressing is such a good idea!

  2. Back when I was cutting out almost all dairy, I loved the WholeSoy yogurts. Way better (and less sickly sweet) than Silk!

  3. I must start testing the soy yoghurts available in Australia. I tried some years ago and they were horrible - grainy and sweet. Fingers crossed I find something that could work in your recipes!

  4. Hannah, I will be doing as post on simple homemade soy yogurts next week... !

  5. I love the Whole Soy yogurts. Fabulous recipes, as always!

  6. I'm thrilled that they've introduced an unsweetened yogurt!

  7. I cannot wait to get my hands on the unsweetened plain. I never see it around here, though, so ?

  8. I recently tried this brand of yogurt for the first time, and it was so good. The cherry flavor is wonderful. Can't wait for the homemade soy yogurt recipes!
