Summer Black Eyed Pea Spread

This spread is a great alternative to hummus.  Black eyed peas are often over looked in the legume world.  They are fast cooking and really good, so please give this a try!

Of course, my absolute favorite black eyed pea recipe is my New Years Day Black Eyed Peas.  They are delicious, even in the summer!

  5. I really like the Hottie BE Pea recipe from AFR. I used frozen BE and am frustrated because they always seem to come out crunchy, even after cooking them forever. Is that the way they usually are, or am I just not cooking them long enough?
